A bed is something everyone has.  They come in all shapes, sizes, and styles. If you need to purchase a bed in Kalamazoo, it is important to know what size to buy.

Bed frames are available in Twin, Long Twin, Double, Queen, King, and California King. The Long Twin and California King are the least common size.

A Twin-size bed is also called a single. They have an overall dimension of 38 inches wide by 75 inches long. This bed is mainly used in college dorms and children’s rooms.

A Long Twin is 38 inches wide and 80 inches long. It is five inches longer than a standard twin bed.

A Double or Full-size bed is 53 inches wide and the same length as a twin bed at 75 inches. This size bed is also common in some college dorm rooms. This bed is intended for two people, but it is not as wide as placing two twin bed side-by-side.

A King size bed is also called an Eastern King bed.  These beds are 76 inches wide and 80 inches long. The King bed is 16 inches wider than the Queen bed.

A California King, which is also called a Western King, is intended for taller people. This bed measures 72 inches wide by 84 inches long.

When buying a bed in Kalamazoo, you should consider the age, size, and needs of the person who will be sleeping in the bed, as well as the size of the room it will occupy. You should be able to walk around the bed when it is set up in the bedroom.
