What’s New?
On the outside, the 2018 F-150 sports a new grille, new bumpers, exterior lighting, wheels, and tailgate. The most significant changes are unseen; they are under the hood. Every F-150 has an auto start/stop. There is an all-new 3.3L V6, a second-generation 2.7L V6 EcoBoost and a 5.0L V8 that has been heavily revised, giving this engine more horsepower and more torque. Other than the 3.3L V6, all the engines are paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
Look for new colors and fabrics inside as well as an optional B&O audio system. There are numerous active safety features including adaptive cruise control and forward-collision warning that detects pedestrians.
The Interior
The interior of the F-150 is well done and uses quality materials. Depending on the model, these Ford trucks can seat from three to six people in comfort. When fitted with two rows of seats, both rows have plenty of space for even the tallest passenger.
Cargo Space
The F-150 is available with 5.5-foot, 6.5-foot, or 8-foot long beds. There are plenty of features. The beds have LED lights, moveable tie-downs and an integrated step in the tailgate. Not every bed length is available in the various cabin styles.
